Off-road Series
The Off-Road series is back for 2024.
Distance wise, we have included runs from every distance from 5K to 50K so there should be something there for everyone. At the time of writing, there are a few races that have yet to declare dates and some that may clash with the Chiltern League (which we would prefer to avoid) so keep your eye on this page. We will try to make everybody aware of any changes to the fixtures below.

The idea of this is to encourage members to get involved in a few races off the pavements and roads, outside of the regular cross-country events.
The series is entirely about participation. It doesn’t matter whether you finish first or last in the events, just whether you took part. It starts this year with the wet and wild (but fun!) Hardwick X-Stream and finishes, hopefully, with the Christmas Kanter in December.
There are currently around twenty events across the calendar year, including 2 of the local relay events and some parkruns, and each one has been given a points score based upon: Distance, Hilliness, Terrain and a Team factor. In the case of the relays you will get the same score whichever leg you run.
You can do as many events as you can fit into your diary and all of these scores will add up together to make your personal total for the year.
There are a couple of rules:
- You must appear in the results under your own name
- You must run in a club vest
We have tried to avoid events that clash with cross-country races, Track & Field or other club championship events, but that’s not always possible and there are a few that are back-to-back, so we definitely don’t expect you to do them all! Pick and choose the races that you fancy.
