March Stag Trophy

With one race to go in the prestigious Stag Trophy competition, we are now into a two horse race.

The sixth 4K run of the season saw five new PB's in the cold weather. Stuart Wightman pulled away from Helen Crossland in the closing stages to win in 21.09 as Helen also acheived a huge four minute PB with 21.15. The run of night though was almost certainly from Jordan Clay who smashed through the 14 minute barrier with a thirty second PB in 13.44 to come home third. Charlie Mead is also finishing the season strongly with a new PB too in fifth to earn 21 points.

The new favourite for the overall trophy now is Chris Large after another PB earned him fourth place and a total of 102 points. Warren Rose still retains the overall lead with 106 after continuing his fantastic season with another consistent run to earnn 20 points, however, Chris will be able to drop a low score if he has one more strong run and is well placed to overtake.

The final Stag of the season is on Wednesday 3rd April and it is our duty to make sure it's not easy for either of these boys, so make sure you get down for one of only two annual opportunities to race the Stag in the light!
