22^nd March 7.00pm Annual presentations and quiz night – Cottesloe School

Following the success of previous year’s our annual quiz and presentation night will soon be here. This is a great night out for the whole family and tickets are only £5 per family/team (questions for all ages). This is a chance to recognise the achievements and the commitment of our athletes over the last 12 months and to get to know other families in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is welcome – you don’t need to have competed as we have a variety of awards, new members please come along too, the more the merrier! Nibbles will be provided however there will not be a bar so feel free to bring along drinks for your own consumption. There is a prize up for grabs for the winning quiz team – so get your thinking caps on for that all important team name.

Tickets are available please bring team entry (£5) to training on Tuesday evenings or you can email to confirm attendance and pay on the night. Last year all places were sold out so early registration is recommended.

24th March – Sportshall  The next sportshall for U11 and U13 takes place on 24^th March at Stratton Upper School , Biggleswade 12.00 – 15.00 more detail will be available nearer the time but volunteers to co-ordinate in Fiona’s absence required to help please.  Good luck and let’s hope the weather does not disrupt this event.

We are also competing in the Youth development league for our U17 and U20 athletes in a composite Bedfordshire team meeting dates are:

 Parent Volunteers – Your childs club needs you!

In order to assist with the on-going admin we are looking for volunteers to cover a number of admin tasks for the club:

·       Co-ordinate entries for the summer track and field events (Training and support will be given and there will be a team of helpers at each event)

·       Kit order coordinator

·       Coaching

·       Membership secretary

·       Preparing our summer training venues sandpits etc (over Easter break)

·       Sportshall event reports 24^th March

 

Training and support will be given for all positions. Please let Nick know if you are interested.
