Tuesday 8^th June saw LBAC’s open day for Track & Field take place at Vandyke Upper School. The juniors, who are getting ready for the second East Anglian League meeting this weekend were bolstered on the night by ten potential new members adding to the 20-30 who already go on a regular basis. All participants were given the opportunity to do Long Jump, High Jump, Discus and Shot Putt with the older ones doing some track work too. Everyone semed to enjoy the evening before the dark clouds became to heavy and deposited a downpour as we were tidying up.

New potential members are welcome to come down to Vandyke on any Tuesday (usually track focused) or Thursday (field event focused) and try their hand at Athletics. It would also be wonderful to have more support from senior members and parents. Whether you are a qualified coach or just happy to rake a sandpit or do some admin, the more help we have the better. Even if you can’t commit to every week please just make yourself known to Les, Nick, Mandy or Rob.
