New club member Kate Johnson has taken the extreme approach to winning a Stag race early in her club career!

Having used her new membership as an excuse Kate seemed to struggle round the course in October to register a time of over 22 minutes. Now suddenly, just a month later she is cruising round at the front of the field and snatching up the 25 points on offer with a time over 2 minutes quicker…………. is this just a cunning plan to achieve overall victory? We shall see!!

At this stage however, Kate is still lying in 8^th place overall as two time winner Gary Startford takes an early lead in this cometition after a third place finish on Wednesday in his fastest time for a few years (14:59) earned him 23 points and a total of 41 after two races. In between Kate and Gary on the night was Amy Inchley who ran close to her personal best in 17:08 and is now on 37 and occupying 3^rd overall.

Second place overall is held by Fiona Towell who added 18 points to her 22 from October and so sits just one point behind Gary.

With the exception of newbie Kate, the only other PB on what was a windy evening was achieved by Charlie Mead, whose 12:24 represented his second consecutive PB of the season puts him strongly placed on 36 points in 4^th.

The third of the seven race series takes place on the 4^th December so if you haven't done one already it's vital that you are there to get in the game!
