Summer Relays
There are two popular relay events in May and June which the club enters several teams for each year. Whilst these are still several months away, teams need to be entered early so if you want to take part you need to let Andy know soon (andy_inchley@hotmail.com).
Each event has vastly differing legs ranging from 4 miles to 10 miles so there is something to suit everyone. The routes are not marked so it is ABSOLUTELY VITAL that you recce them. There will always be other people doing the same leg to recce them with.
Round Milton Keynes Relay, Sunday 19th May
This starts and finishes in the Market Square in Stony Stratford. It is very low key with usually about fifteen teams from 3-4 local clubs, with lunch in the pub afterwards. We try to make our teams as even as possible so we can have a friendly battle round the course (and share lifts). Each four person team must have a minimum of one lady.
Leg 1 – Stony to Woolstone – 10.3 flat miles. All on canal and redways. http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/177503746
Leg 2 – Woolstone to Bow Brickhill – Likely to be slightly extended from last year. Should be 6 miles with one steady hill. Mostly on redways and road, but a little off-road near the end. http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/177501586
Leg 3 – Bow Brickhill to Bottledump Roundabout – Likely to be shortened to 9 miles of undulating countryside. Mixture of redways and off-road. http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/177507986

Greensand Ridge Relay – Saturday 22nd June
This race goes almost entirely cross-country from Tiddenfoot Pit to the village of Northill, near Sandy. Starts times vary from 11am-1pm depending on the age and gender of your team, with the aim for all teams to finish around 5pm. The teams of six can be made up in any way but there are a number of prizes to aim for. In the past we have won all four (men's, women's, mixed and handicap) but ultimately it's just a fun event to take part in. The prize giving is done alongside a barbecue in the village pub, and it is ALWAYS a sunny day! There is a very detailed website for you to peruse at your leisure: http://www.smoc.info/GSRR/, but basically,
