Wing Chiltern League – Plea
On Saturday 12th February LBAC will once again be playing host to the final Chiltern League fixture of the season at Cottesloe School in Wing. This is a very presitigous event as all of the end of season trophies are awarded and results completed.
There are many aspects to organising a Chiltern League fixture and Richard Inchley takes on the majority of them in this case, however, there will be a lot of help needed in the marshaling of the course. We therefore need EVERY SINGLE MEMBER to commit to being there on the day as the more volunteers we get the less marshaling everyone is needed for. Please DO NOT ASSUME that Richard knows you are coming.
In an ideal world, we would get enough volunteers from the injured, family and friends of LBAC to cover all the marshaling, so that as many active members can run as possible in our bid to stay up. Therefore everyone please send Richard an e-mail saying;
A – When you are available. In addition to the marshaling from 12-4, a few people will be needed on the Friday afternoon and Saturday morning to prepare the course.
B – Can you supply any extra's. Friends and family can be easily trained up on the day. Even if they can only spare an hour, it would be extremely useful for the men's race.
C – If you would like to run. Those most keen to run will be the first released from marshaling if we get to a stage where we have enough.
D – If you would like to get involved in the pre-race organisation. Richard has been doing this for approximately 400 years now and at some stage would like to pass the baton on…….!
